Community Patrol
Kalano Community Patrol service provides intervention for intoxicated persons to assist them to re-locate to a safer environment such as home or otherwise Yalarrlah (Sobering Up Shelter) or the Police Custody Cells.
The team patrols around town to ensure that any substance misuse or anti-social issues do not have any serious harmful effects to individuals themselves or their family members.
Operating over night the patrol frequent the trouble spots of Katherine and assist to take people home if necessary, including getting people home from the hospital.
